Rules and Regulations
- Irregular attendance, habitual inattention to school work, obscenity in work or act, in subordination to school authorities, transgressions of the rules given in the diary, cheating or any other misconduct, any behavior considered by the Principal not suitable to the good tone and general good of the school are not tolerable in the school. The class captain should ensure the switching off of lights and fans when leaving the classroom. Bins must be used for waste paper, etc. The transition period between teacher leaving the class and the other arriving is not the time for idle talk or creating disturbance. Await the teachers arrival in silence and stand up and wish when he/she enters the classroom.
- Students are not allowed to receive visitors or to make or receive telephone calls during the class hours except for serious reasons.
- Parents are requested not to disturb the class during school hours. Parent-teachers meetings are arranged during the course of the year end, when necessary, at other times, on working Saturdays between 9:30 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.
- Celebration of Birthdays and parties in school is not permitted.
- Any collection of money or things for any purpose whatsoever is to be started with the previous permission of the Principal. Presenting of gifts to any member of the staff for any occasion, by any student is forbidden.
- Ordinarily, the children have no permission to attend parties, to go the cinema or to a friends house on their way home from school.
- As a safety measure, no student should put her hand or their head through the protecting bars on the windows of the bus or stand on the footboard.
- Punctuality and discipline should be the watchword of every student. Report on time and not waste it. Be brisk in your walk.
- Every student must carry his/her almanac and identity card to school each day.
- Students are not allowed to bring mobile phone to school. If they do so, it will be confiscated.
- All boys (except Sikhs) must keep their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with a green band.Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
- No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or papers should be brought to the school.
- The School reserves the right to mend the students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
- Students are advised to keep their class room, school buildings and campus as clean as possible, and throw leftovers into the dustbins.
- Hemkunt School provides education from nursery to class XII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors should be treated with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their seniors. There should be perfect harmony between the juniors & seniors .
- Students should not use unfair means during examination.
- A student will not co-operate or indulge in any act of violence committed by other students which will harm any student physically or mentally.
- The school provides all the necessary equipment for sports activity during the games period. Students are not allowed to bring their own balls, bats etc to the school.
Leave Rules
- No leave will be Granted without the sanction of the Principal.
- In case of absence, the student must bring the leave form on his/her next joining day after the absence.
- In case the student remains absent continuously for 10 days without leave, his/her name will be struck off from the class.
- Leave application must be signed by Parents/Guardians.
Admission Rules
1. The School is open for admission to both boys and girls from Nur to XII**.
Medical, Non-Medical ,Commerce and Humanities stream are available for Xl and Xll students. The Management reserves the right to accept and refuse any candidate who seeks admission to the school.
2. The fee and other charges once deposited will not be refunded.
3. Date of birth once registered and spellings of the name of student and parents on the form will not be altered later.
4. Candidate applying for admission are as a rule subject to an entrance examination (K.G - Xll) held at the beginning of the academic year. They must bring their pen, pencils but no special book is required. They will be tested for the standard below the one to which they seek admission.
5. Skills will be tested in English , Math and Science.
6. Admission will be based on merit, vacancies, overall performance of the student in academics, Co-curricular activities and the general conduct of the child.
7. A candidate who has attended any recognized school cannot be admitted without a school leaving certificate from the school last attended. If he/she comes from a school outside the state of Punjab the education officer of the place in which the school is situated should countersign the leaving certificate. If he/she has passed previous class from other board then migration certificate is must.
8. School leaving certificate will be given to those who have cleared all their dues.
9.The school reserves the right to dismiss those students from the school whose conduct is harmful to others. Immorality, grave insubordination , contempt of authority any objectionable activity inside or outside the school premises , rude , disorderly behavior , bullying indulging in any violence during school hours or willful damage to school property or repeated breaking of pupils code of conduct, is sufficient reason for immediate suspension, repetition of the same will lead to dismissal with intimation to the parents.
